Using blogging in the class
Blogging in class has made it easy for me to write what I am thinking. I was not crazy about writing, at first, but with the introduction of blogging, I have felt comfortable in jotting things down.

Using Google Drive in the class

Using Google drive in class, has been amazing and so much helpful. Years ago, in order to work on a paper with someone would prove itself impossible, due to people lack of time. With good drive i can
collaborate and share ideas with others, also create a simple webpage with docs publishing, share and collect assignment without printing, access documents in class or at home. This makes life so much easier.

Personal learning networks in college

I think this is a great method. Students are able to rely on each to get throguh the days of college. Sometimes the best way to see if students understand what was thought is for them to put into practice. i have foudn that if i don't have anyone hovering over me to get things done, i usually get them done.

Statistics that mislead
While statistics are extremely valuable, they are also notorious for being a means that people use to make false and misleading arguments. sometimes people make up something and to make people believe it, they add statistics to it. It is very important to confirm statistics that have been given. Sources are necessary to confirm statistics given.

Post of my choice

                     Post of my choice

Hawaiian bobtail squid

A NOCTURNAL hunter, the Hawaiian bobtail squid creates its own light—not to be seen, but to be unseen—to blend in with the ambient moonlight and starlight. The animal’s secret is its partnership with light-emitting bacteria. That partnership may also hold secrets that could benefit us, but in a seemingly unrelated way. It may benefit our health.
Consider: The Hawaiian bobtail squid lives in the clear coastal waters of the Hawaiian Islands. Light from the moon and the stars would normally make the silhouette of the creature stand out to predators below. The bobtail squid, however, emits a glow from its underside that mimics ambient night light in both intensity and wavelength. The result is stealth—no silhouette, no shadow. The squid’s “high-tech” apparatus is its light organ, which houses bioluminescent bacteria that produce just the right glow to camouflage their host.
The bacteria may also help to regulate the squid’s sleep-wake pattern. This interests researchers because the bobtail squid may not be the only creature where there is a link between bacteria and circadian cycles, or daily rhythms in activity. In mammals, for example, bacteria that play a role in digestion may also be associated with circadian rhythms. Disturbances of these rhythms have been linked to depression, diabetes, obesity, and sleep disorders. Hence, the study of the squid’s bacteria-host system may furnish insights into human health.
What do you think? Did the light organ of the Hawaiian bobtail squid come about by evolution? Or was it designed?

A solution to avoiding diseases, such as spread of hiv and aids and other related diseases, is to abstain from taking blood transfusion. Taking blood can save your life, but can also cause other diseases to procure. Doctors give this disclosure before you receive a blood transfusion. If they are letting you know this. Refusal of blood transfusion, can mean your life, but so is taking it.

Affordable Care Act
College students find the that the affordable care act works in their favor, because they live with their parents and are able to stay on their parents insurance, until a certain age. Therefore, I would think that most student likes the affordable care act.

I hope the peer review that I did on the writer was helpful. There were lot's of punctuation issues. I made plenty of suggestions. At a point during this individual's reading, I just got tired of reading it, because there were a lot of run-on sentences. Once this were corrected, it was a great paper. I hope the changes made was helpful to the writer.
Post about Doc2
The peer review that i received was fine, it help me to go back and change some things around. The peer review helps out a lot. It allowed me to see my audience point of view and because of that, i was able to notice that my thesis was not in the right place.

Kairos
Kairos means at the opportune time. I plan to use this in my paper, when I am organizing my sentences. To know exactly where I will place the proper punctuations, at the right time. To also know what comes first and last. Learning this word, I know that I will continue to use it in my writings at all times.
Pathos
I plan to use words that appeal to patients emotions. I will have in my paper, cases of where Occupational therapist are helping patients that are really sick. For example, a newborn that was born with a defect. Something else is, the elderly having issues with being able to get around.
An author would use ethos to show to his audience that he is a credible source and is worth listening to. I plan to use credible sources from many reliable websites and known sources. sources that are reliable are known sources, like from a scholar or articles that are reliable..
Doc 2
In document 2 i am writing about the myths that have been said about the field of occupational therapy. There have been mentioned that occupational therapist are there to assist people to find work. I am focus on finding many resources to prove that this is not the truth. throughout this paper, i will list the many other myths that have been mentioned and show proof to show otherwise.

Good evidence for Doc2
Good evidence that i have read is the statistics that shows the shortage of occupational therapist, especially in Canada. according to the article that i read, there were 255 ot in saskatchewan. and there were 25 ot per 100000 resident. This shows to have been an all time low. there continue to be a rise, because more schools are providing the training for many people to get the degree needed to help more patients that are in need.
Issues with Occupational therapy Assistant
Occupational therapy is a great field, the therapist are able to use activities, in order to help patients get back to their routine way of life. The issues with Occupational Therapy assistant is lack of OT's needed in the field. There are numerous of certified occupational therapist assistant that are readily available, but not enough OT's, to write plans for the OTA to follow with patients. There are plenty of job opportunities out there for the OT's. There are many schools that are trying to establish a program in their school for ot's to be ready for the field.Within occupational therapy, there are numerous areas to be covered, but there have to be willing participants.

THE DANGERS OF TEXTING AND DRIVING

We live in a world where technology is growing more and more. we use it in our daily life's, in class, at work even in the bathroom sometimes. A place where a phone does not need to be used is in our  care. This is dangerous to both the driver and other's on the road. There should lots more of actions that are taken when someone is texting and driving. Doing this, is like driving drunk. Our priority when driving should be to focus on the road, and get to where we need to go.
Illogical thought about people

we have illogically think about people with dreads for example. I use to think if you had dreads, you were uneducated and that you could do harm. the reason I thought this way was because of the opinions of others. I have learned from many successfully people with dreads, that this only represent their beliefs, and it is not my place to criticize the choices that they make.

Logical Fallacy in the media

A logical fallacy is a flaw in reasoning. There are many media outlets that uses this, as a way to get paid. The National enquirer is one of them. they use information that they have, and most likely it is without proof. For example, they have stated that an individual is pregnant, meanwhile the person does not have the belly to show it.

Peer evaluation process

To complete peer evaluation, i take time to read the paper and try to put myself as the author. If i see any improvements that needs to be done, i will note it. I don't do this to be superior, but only to share the knowledge that i have acquire towards my peers. I expect the same thing as well, you can always learn something from this. I also follow follow the process given for the evaluation, such as the use of APA. If the information is credible etc... I enjoy this process, and also when feedback is given to me as well.

Deductive reasoning

The use of deductive reasoning allowed me not to be biased in the subject that I am talking about. It helps reason in a way, where i don't rely on opinions that are baseless. deductive reasoning is going from a general case down to a specific instance. Using it, allows me to change my mind about a subject that i chose, especially if there were no facts to support what i was writing about.

how I found my thesis?
I found my thesis by seeing examples of many other thesis. This was able to give me a clear view on what a thesis was, and how to write it. I was able to also consult a professional writer, that was able to clarify me on the thesis.

Where do you get it?
Sources can be taken  from newspaper, journals, and books. i use sources in most of my articles that are legible. a lot of the sources gives the subject that i am writing about a lot of weight. I am not saying that my writings means nothing, but with facts, people are more oblige to believe what is written.
Do you have any authority?
I can say i am biase to police violence, because i have not been a victim of that kind of violence. All can say is from what i have observe on tv, and what is written on newspaper by credible sources. authority shows respect to the authors of the writers. It shows that i value what they wrote, and use it to get whatever point, i am trying to get across.

Police Violence

Police violence has always existed. Sometimes it happens because, there are no coorperation, sometimes, it's injust. Police feels that they have to use force in order for the other person to respond. Over the past years, it has become more and more apparent. I can understand that force should be used, because at times, there are some people that want to be ignorant and fail to follow the instructions of police officers. They are risking their lives to protect everyone, but some people feel that they are treated injusticely, when they are the ones that are shouting at the mouth when officers are asking to follow procedures. I am not saying that police violence is justifiable, but if they feel that they are threatened, they will react. If everytime, a police ask someone to lower their voices, or pull over, even to put their hands up, there shouldn't not be any kind of resistance,or shouting at the mouth. There have been cases where police officers used extra force when it was not necessary. One example is that of the Eric Gardner, he was on chokehold by an officer until he died, this was unecessary. On the contrary, an officer told a group of young people to calm down, when they were being a nuisance, they fail to listen to the officer, and pulled out the race card. I feel that if we are told to do something, and we do it without resistance, at the end we have a strong defense. If we truly are innocent, it will come to light. There have been many incident where someone recorded a incident that happened with an officer, and sometimes it shows the other person as being the agressor. Police violence is done to people that are defenless. Officers feel that they have the power because they have a badge, that is not the way to exercise authority. I have attached a link that shows the top 10 police violence and it is not pretty.

My name is Nancy Longin. I am an OTA student at south university. For some time now, I did not know what I wanted to do with my life. I always had dreams of becoming a nurse, but that changed when I found out that there were some things that I could not take in the nursing field. I went to school for massage therapy, but because of an injury in my arm, I was not able to pursue that career. I worked for a long period of time, and then decided to start going o school again. along the way, I got married in 2013, and enrolled thereafter at south university. I really want to be done with school in order to support my family, and to be the first out of my family to finish college. I will continue to strive for greatness, and put Jehovah first in all my endeavors.

I love to dress up for special occasions. I sometimes love to match with my husband. i Believed that shoes can be an accent to an outfit.

An recent argument that I had was about doc 1 with my partner. we both shared our views on police violence. I argued that, the reason police uses forces is because majority of people resort more to disrespecting police, expecting them not to do anything. She argued that the reason police are like this is because of the type of training they received.
